Dustin Nolen, PE
Dustin Nolen received a BS in Materials Engineering in 2008 from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). In 2010, Mr. Nolen received his Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification through the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES).
Mr. Nolen began his career as a technician for a UAB research laboratory from 2004 to 2007 where he gained experience in materials analysis and testing. Mr. Nolen was employed by Vista Engineering as a technician in the area of CVD diamond and nano-coating research in 2007. In 2008, he became project manager and a graduate engineer of Vista Engineering and VEAR. During this time, Mr. Nolen has co-authored multiple research publications while gaining further experience in engineering mechanics, failure analysis, and computer simulation. He has supported the senior staff in 80+ cases.
Mr. Nolen achieved his professional engineers (PE) licensure through Alabama State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors in 2016.
Mr. Nolen is a member in good standing of the American Society of Materials International. He held the office of vice-chairman for the Birmingham ASM chapter from 2010 to 2011 where he was responsible for scheduling and organizing meetings and seminars.
